These video monitor screen hides are usually used in the conference and award ceremony environment where a large monitor screen at the back of the conference hall needs to be masked from the audience. The monitor can of course have any video source fed to it instead of the usual prompting text.
The HONEYCOMB itself is invisible to the presenter at normal reading distances. For example using a 37" monitor it is possible with normal eyesight to read our prompting text from around 30 metres (100 feet) with a field of view of about 7 metres (25 feet) for the presenter. This means the presenter is not confined to a lectern position, but is free to move about the stage using props and demonstration equipment.
As can be seen from the photographs, the hidden monitor looks like a large audio speaker unless seen from the presenter's view point. The unmasked monitor below shows the indiscreet way a normal monitor is visible to the audience which can lead to presenter embarrassment! We are able to provide a range of sizes to suit monitors up to
61" in 4 x 3 and 16 x 9 formats.
