Operation

· Type/load in the story or stories.
· Save in preferred folder.
· At DigiStory Editor, click on Save List, select folder the files were saved in and type in a file name for the list.
· Once saved, any Prompters aimed at that folder will pick up the list and display the files therein.
· The Prompters are set-up to look at a folder with a list of files in it. These are then scrolled by WinDigi using the system's speed controller.
· Each Prompter is given it's own log-on name and this is displayed in a small window at the Editor along with the file currently being scrolled.

The following picture shows the layout of Editor and Prompters connected by the Network Neighbourhood.

The Journalist work station is a Rich Text Format editor which is used to type in stories and save on the network. The number of Journalist workstations available is only limited by the existing network.

The Editor is the work station that arranges files in the correct order saves the list so that the Prompter can pick it up for use.

Colours can be set to use the prompted colours or it's own colours with the prompt another colour e.g. Editor set to black on white and the Prompter white on black.

The prompted font size is different from the Editor and can be selected in the Editors output format window.

If all files are wanted to be merged into one file, click on the Merge List button, and this will copy all the files into one document in the order of the list.  The system will ask for a file name to save under.

Loading of a file in the list can be done by double clicking on it.

Prompter

Page Labels can be put into the text but are not shown by the Prompter. These labels take the form "[#cccccccc]" 'c' being any eight characters. The label can be jumped-to by the Prompter by typing in the label and pressing Return.
