Tortoise being fitted with its new motor after the melt down at Castlecombe.
Super Snail is the one on the floor more or less finished apart from the rear axle.
The new SS bubble being attached to the plywood body. The batteries are acting as weights holding the body against the MDF mould edge. There are 4 mm plywood formers just beneath the bubble to act as stiffeners. These are all held in with glue. The clamps that hold them in place until the glue sets can be seen through the bubble. |
