This new Universal Quantum Plate represents a leap forward in prompter rigging design, allowing Portaprompt to rig easily all their Quasar and Premium prompters from 10.4” to 20” with small cameras like the Sony  PD170, Z1 and Panasonic convertible cameras.

The flat panel displays have been engineered to obtain the very best brightness and contrast. They are equally at home on the front of a camera, on a conference glass stand or direct reading making the investment more cost effective. The VGA input is ideal for "Slide" type presentations as you get full bandwidth resolution.

Quasar Type Ultra high Bright panels are fitted with a very high brightness backlights making them suitable for outside use in bright sun light. These can be turned down for indoor use via the brightness potentiometer (no menu buttons to press) to suit the presenter. They also do not use fans making them silent in use. The range of sizes has been selected using our years of experience in the prompting world. The New 12" display is actually about the same physical size as our previous 10.4" just slightly thicker and heavier, but nearly 4 times brighter and the screen is 35% larger.

Launched  this year at BVE 2010 is the New range of Quasar high bright low weight Green LED on camera flat screen prompters.

The New 15” high bright LED 1400 nit lightweight unit uses only 2.9 amps instead of the 4.55 amps of the conventional unit giving a huge saving on power and heat, saving 36% of battery power whilst working on field locations. The 15” LED is more robust, with higher brightness and contrast and longer panel life.

Premium Type High Brightness 10.4", 12" & 15" unit is ideal for most situations including outdoor use, and has been designed for users that do not require the ultra high brightness back lights of the Quasars, but want all the other features. Brightness is controlled via menu on the Premium display.

Designed for the rigours of our hire department you can rely on these displays giving years of service. They all use our quick release clamp system to allow rapid rigging on and off camera making it easy to change the camera shot.

The reflector hood simply drop into 2 holes in the top of the displays and the reflectors of the 12", 15" and 17" sizes simply clips into the hood. A cloth gaiter is then drawn around the camera lens to block out any light that may come from behind the lens into the hood. The 20" and 24" hoods are made from cloth to reduce weight and making storage and transporting easier as it packs flat in a case with handles. The reflector is integral in the 20" and 24" hoods.
