Portaprompt is delighted to announce the sale of 4 Quasar 17” ultra bright, ultra light TFT colour on-camera teleprompter units to Europes most watched Breakfast Station GMTV based in the UK. The 17” Quasar Teleprompting on-camera units were chosen by GMTV after extensive testing and approval by all the Presenters and Camera man at GMTV to ensure they were Fit for Purpose. Geoff  Wright, Chief Engineer, says “Portaprompt has proved once again that it is at the forefront of Teleprompting innovation, design and support and is prepared to listen to what the Customer, Presenter and Camera man require.”

Portaprompt has been manufacturing Broadcasting equipment since 1963 and through innovative design, research and development markets the lightest and brightest teleprompting software and hardware available today.

The Quasar Ultra bright, ultra light and ultra slim Teleprompting on-camera units are available in four sizes 12, 15, 17 and 20 inch. They are suitable for Studio, Virtual Studio and Location shooting, and work in very bright sunlight with up to 1400 nit brightness levels. So lightweight they can be used with large or small robotic heads and so slim line to improve camera tilting. Other features include automatic PAL/NTSC signal detection, auto terminating BNC loop through, VGA input and 100-240v AC, 12v DC 35w to 60w power supply. All the Quasar Teleprompting on-camera units are available with a Presenter transmission display LCD monitor option.
