The Dual Purpose version can be rigged either from the camera handle on shoulder mounted professional style cameras or rigged on the camera tripod if you are using a semi-professional miniature DV cameras such as the Sony PD170 and the Sony PC100E or the  Panasonic Convertible Cameras such as the AW-E600A mounted on the Pan and tilt head or tripod.
