The Portaprompt Laptop Management Unit has been designed to make using a laptop in the prompting environment easier whether on location or in a studio.

 It contains

A Scan converter to convert PC VGA picture signals to composite video either NTSC or PAL.

 A four output Video Distribution Amplifier (VDA) with BNC outputs.

 A 100-240v AC mains power supply that powers the laptop, the VDA, and Scan converter.

It also has an output to power Portaprompt’s motorised conference pole hand control and either a 12v DC monitor or suitable 12v DC printers via an industry standard 4 pin XLR chassis socket.

 All of the above can also be powered with a 12v DC battery via an industry standard 4 pin XLR trailing socket.
