With the advent of a mature, reliable and readily available NDI® IP ecosystem Portaprompt has agreed with Telescript International to integrate their highly developed and  NDI® certified Technology into our Quasar Teleprompter displays.

Portaprompt’s IP Teleprompter displays, have the power of NDI® along with SDI, Analog, VGA, and DVI inputs.

Our IP monitors and decoders are capable of decoding high bandwidth NDI® signals as well as NDI®|HX2 and HX3 automatically.

Other features include Source Select buttons on the monitor itself and a unique tally interface that can track any NDI® source and output its status via the Tally port on the monitor to a Telescript TallyOne or ClockOne.

The latest version now boasts the ability to send LTC to ClockOne via the NDI feed.

Key Features

• Decoding high bandwidth NDI® signals as well as NDI®|HX2 and HX3 automatically.
• The system can interface to MoS and ENPS newsroom systems as required using the WinDigi newsroom software interface upgrade
• Scrolling control takes place in PC / Monitors so no need for external “scrolling boxes”
• Using NDI® to SDI converter interfaces it is possible to mix IP with legacy SDI displays
• For working remotely with either hand or foot controls our IP connection option allows the prompt monitor to be operated remotely either with a wired (RJ45 Ethernet) or Wi-Fi connections.
• Signal / Control allocations made using an “off the shelf” browser app
• Minimum systems requirements: - Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 1 x USB Port and accelerated graphics card.

• The prompt operator can be based in studio whilst feeding the prompt signal to the presenter on location which can save travel and location cost in remote production workflows.
